Forest Beach

Forest Beach is known as the “downtown Hilton Head” . The abundance of shops, restaurants, and attractions make this area the place to be. Forest Beach is three-miles, consisting of the North and South areas meeting at Coligny Circle. Forest Beach is one of Hilton Head’s oldest neighborhoods; some homes were built as early as the 1950s. The area gained its popularity due to proximity and easy access to the beach: each lot in the Forest Beach area is within 600 yards of the Atlantic. While most of Hilton Head Island’s plantation communities are gated, while this area is free to come and go as you please. Forest Beach is easy-to-find and many of the island’s amenities are within a stone’s throw. The famous Coligny Plaza has over 60 shops, restaurants, and vendors has a plethora of amenities to enjoy. North Forest Beach includes the area between Coligny Circle and Shipyard Plantation’s Sonesta Resort while South Forest Beach consists of the land between Coligny and Sea Pines Resort’s Ocean Gate.
