Historic Old Town Bluffton emerged in the early 1800’s atop high river bluffs overlooking the May River. Bluffton is centrally located between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Georgia. Over the last 60 years Bluffton has attracted many full-time residents due to the growth of Hilton Head Island as a major vacation destination. Today Bluffton is the fastest growing area in South Carolina and is the fifth largest municipality in the state by land area. Bluffton started as a summer haven, and has developed into a bustling town and become an important tourism partner with Hilton Head Island
